Dr.Goom 2012/Blk's Polyphasic EP

man i know it's been literally a year since i've posted anything about beats (or anything at all for that manner) but now that i've found my email and password for this blog i can actually start posting!

first off on the agenda, my beat tape just came out!
it's mighty good, it's all over the place, and the first song you hear is the second to last one!
also it's for free, so download it and support local musicians!

second off on todays agenda, i recieved a review tonight for that beat tape! this is my first review i've ever gotten so this is extremely exciting for me! if you want to read it, here's the link:

and third off today is my review for my homeboy blk's Polyphasic EP

now as much as i love the track that the player opens up with on the page (the third song of the album) but to be honest this album needs to be listened to from beginning to end. the influence of video games is so strong it makes me want to plug in my NES and end my day off right. the music ranges all over the place from ambient blissfulness to bumpin 80s bass music to futuristic house beats. i've played a show with blk and was impressed with his unique style of music and impressive use of a Lemur and have seen him perform several times with Equator Club. he is also coming out with a collaboration album with my homey and the man who mastered my beat tape Norman. this short little EP has a lot to offer, making you think, relax, dance, and feel damn good. i'm excited to see what more is to come out of blk and even more of whats to come up on this blog. thanks for checking in

Hello! Now that my kittens have gotten your attention, I'm Dr. Goom and this is my blog. I am a producer and DJ in Chicago and make strange sounds in Ableton. I post a lot of my music as well as other musicians I work with on here, musicians I find interesting, and other things randomly about the internet. If you want to hear some of my material check out my soundcloud.  Feel free to send me stuff that you've made or just love listening to, I'm all ears. I love to collaborate and hear new music.

 Now Love the Kittens.
